Cynthia Cynthia Murphy, PT MBA , is a physical therapist who has been with Wilmington PT since its opening in 1987. She is a native of North Carolina and has lived in Wilmington since earning her bachelors degree in physical therapy at East Carolina University in 1982. She earned her MBA from UNC Wilmington in 1989. She has experience with geriatrics, home health, pediatrics, general, sports and orthopedic injuries. As one of the original founders of the practice and the current owner, she has extensive knowledge of reimbursement and document requirements. Cynthia is a strong believer in one on one patient care provided by physical therapists and physical therapy assistants. Outside of physical therapy, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her children, friends, going to the beach, walking and running, and snow skiing.



TylerTyler Whiteside, DPT, CSCS, is a physical therapist who joined Wilmington PT in April 2009. Tyler was born and raised in Pennsylvania, has his bachelors degree in Biology from Penn State University and both his Masters and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA. Through his career, Tyler has successfully treated varying degrees of general, orthopedic and sports injuries. Tyler’s emphasis is manual therapy and appropriate prescription of therapeutic exercise. Tyler is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has attended continuing education courses including Back to Golf, Running Medicine and Maitland Manual Therapy. Tyler believes in patient focused, one-on-one therapy to maximize a patient’s return to functional, recreational and occupational activities. Outside of physical therapy, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and twin boys, surfing, golfing and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins and the Boston Red Sox.



AshleyAshley Bobzien, PTA, graduated in 2006 from Nash Community College as a Physical Therapist Assistant.  She also has a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology from UNCW.  Ashley is currently studying for her certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  Ashley has experience working with patients of all ages whose problems include orthopedic and neurological conditions. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, running, swimming, and traveling. Ashley also enjoys learning new therapy techniques and having fun during her treatment sessions.
